Holiday events in Bor county - May
- May 01 - Lilac Festival
Miroč - An event held since 1994 with the purppose of presenting old folk sports and games. Sports competitions are held in the following disciplines: two feet high jump, throwing the horse shoe on the target, stick tugging, shooting apples with arrows, mace throwing. The cultural and artistic programme is reserved for folk ensembles, singers and solo players. The integral part of the programme is the Fairest Fairy of Miroč Beauty Pageant. All this makes this event very attractive for thousands visitors who love old games and customs.
- May 02 - Football between “the fat” and “the slim”
Kladovo - organized in Kladovo for over 50 years on the stadium in Fetislam and where participate pro footballers or amateurs for over five decades. Very often, the score is null, but “the game” continues, alongside to a good del of food and drinks .
- May 7-15 - The athletic communal
Kladovo - between counties and national championship of the students in general schools and highschools. The place of consecution is the Fetislam fortress. There participate students from the commune, from Bor County and the region.
- May 12 - The days of Negotin
Negotin - Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ - the town's Holiday as the town's "Slava" (Holiday), May 12 is considered the Day of the Municipality of Negotin. A concert is organized in the town's centre with presentations of dances, food, wine, handicrafts, exhibitions and everything which is characteristic for the Municipality of Negotin.

Negotin - Traditional musical event where participate authors and bands from Bor and Zajecar region.

Kladovo - . It is actually a preselection for the cross at Republic level which is organized under the protection of the Ministry of sports and the radio-television Serbia.

- May 20 - Trails of old Tekija fishermen
Tekija - is a one day excursion a motor boat regatta through the most beautiful parts of the Djerdap gorge. It is held in May, when lilacs bloom, which are painting the river banks of the Danube, thus making this whole experience uniquely attractive.
