The "Danube without Borders" project funded through the Neighborhood Serbia-Romania program, PHARE 2006 aims to stimulate the development of rural tourism and promoting tourism ethno-cultural border landmarks, tour operators in the border Romanian Serbian region.

In this respect, the catalog of ethno-cultural events and popular religious holidays in locations in the Danube river border Mehedinţi - Bor is an attractive guide through its information and significant images for all Romanian and foreign tourists.

In a modern manner is presented the calendar of the events: festivals, folk events, fairs, sports and cultural competitions, traditional and cultural art exhibitions from the border region Mehedinţi - Bor. Along the way, the Danube Defile offers you amazing breathtaking landscapes. The old river has been squeezing its way between the huge walls in the mountains Ciucaru Mic (310 m) and Mare ( 318 m) for thousands of years, on the Romanian bank and Mali Strbac (626 m) and Veliki Strbac (768 m), on the Serbian bank.
